Tamas Hak-Kovacs has extensive experience in the banking industry, holding various executive positions at different companies. Tamas served as the Chief Executive Officer at DSK Bank from 2020 onwards. Prior to that, they held the same position at OTP Bank in Ukraine from 2012 to 2020. Tamas also held key leadership roles at Commerzbank AG, including CEO of Branches & Subsidiaries CEE in Frankfurt, Germany from 2010 to 2012, Chairman and CEO of Commerzbank (EurAsia) Sao in Moscow, Russia from 2007 to 2012, and Chairman and CEO of Commerzbank (Budapest) ZRT. from 2000 to 2007.
Tamas Hak-Kovacs has a diverse education history with a focus on finance and business leadership. In 1989, they obtained a Master's degree in Finance and Accounting from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. In 1994, they pursued additional studies at the Universität des Saarlandes, specializing in Bankmanagement. In 1995, Tamas attended the University of Vienna to enhance their knowledge in Corporate Finance.
Over the years, Tamas Hak-Kovacs has also pursued various certifications. In 1995, they obtained a Commodity Broker certification from the Budapest Stock Exchange. Additionally, in 2004, they received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
Throughout their professional career, Tamas Hak-Kovacs further expanded their skills through executive education programs. In 2010-2011, they participated in the Commerzbank Management Program at IMD. In 2017-2018, they attended the SEED School for Executive Education and Development to further their understanding of business leadership. Tamas also engaged in specialized training in the field of Artificial Intelligence for Business at The Wharton School in 2021 and Cybersecurity for Business Leaders at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in 2020.
