Albert Zhang

Albert Zhang is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Senior Manager and previously as an Engineering Manager at dsm-firmenich since January 2023, leading the site engineering department for carotenoids production. Prior to this role, Albert held the position of Project Engineering Lead at Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions from October 2015 to January 2023, focusing on business improvement opportunities in North America's chemical production plants and developing capital investment plans. Albert also worked at KBR, Inc. as a Principal Mechanical Engineer/Work Group Lead from December 2010 to February 2015, providing mechanical solutions in TRIG gasification technology projects. Albert's earlier experience includes serving as a Mechanical Engineer at GE from October 2007 to December 2010, where contributions were made to the TEXCO gasification business, and as a Teaching/Research Assistant at the University of Houston while obtaining a PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2007, following a BS in Thermal Energy and Power Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2003.
