Joep Verwegen

Joep Verwegen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Joep started their career as a Process Engineer at Heineken in 1993. Joep then moved on to Bellt-GCA, where they worked as a Process Control Engineer, specializing in plant automation projects. In 1996, they joined DSM-Firmenich as a Process (Control) Engineer and later became an Operations Manager, responsible for manufacturing and sales in different sectors. Joep then took on roles as a Plant Manager and Business Consultant, focusing on improving operations and implementing business processes in IT solutions. Joep was also a Practice Lead for Procurement IT and Manufacturing & Supply Chain IT, leading global teams and driving improvements in these areas. Currently, they are working as the Head of Digital Manufacturing and OT Cyber Security at DSM-Firmenich since May 2022. Overall, Joep Verwegen has a diverse background in engineering, operations management, and IT solutions.

Joep Verwegen completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Fontys University of Applied Sciences, during the period of 1988 to 1993.
