Kai Urban

Kai Urban has a strong background in product and process development, particularly in the formulation pilot plant field. They have extensive experience in scaling up and down processes, troubleshooting, and implementing product and process developments at various production sites. Kai has held roles at dsm-firmenich and DSM, where they progressed from Scientist to Senior Scientist to their current position as EMEA Principal Scientist and Piloting Manager. Prior to that, Kai worked as a Scientific/Research Assistant at Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg, conducting research on emulsification technologies and supervising students and interns. Additionally, they completed internships at EADS Astrium and DOW BSL GmbH.

Kai Urban earned a Diplom-Ingenieur (Master of Engineering) degree in Chemical/Process Engineering from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg, starting in 1998 and graduating in 2002. Kai then pursued a Doctor of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.) degree in Emulsification technologies at the same university, starting in 2002 and completing it in 2006.
