Lauren Gibbon has an extensive work experience in the field of global benefits and total rewards. Lauren started their career as a Group Underwriter at Prudential Insurance Company in 1986. Lauren then worked as a Health & Welfare Benefits Consultant at Alexander & Alexander Consulting Group from 1989 to 1991. After that, they joined Kwasha Lipton as an Account Manager from 1991 to 1994.
Lauren then joined Warner-Lambert Company / Pfizer Inc. as a Benefits Manager, where they were responsible for plan design, cost management, and strategy for US benefits programs. Lauren implemented managed care and analyzed and negotiated health and welfare rates.
From 2001 to 2002, they worked as a Benefits Consultant at Elan Pharmaceuticals, where they managed various communications and implementation projects associated with new cafeteria, health and welfare, 401(k), and deferred compensation plans.
In 2002, they joined CIT as a Benefits Director, managing all US health, welfare, and retirement programs. Lauren saved $250,000 in participant fees by moving retirement plan processing functions.
In 2006, Lauren joined DSM as a Director of Benefits, with their responsibilities expanding to include all aspects of US health and welfare benefits programs. Lauren developed a Center of Expertise accountable for benefits strategy, design, analysis, cost management, vendor management, compliance, administration, and communications. Lauren then took on roles as a Sr. Director, Total Rewards North America and Innovation Cluster, and Sr. Director, Global Benefits, where they were responsible for managing change in total rewards strategy and activities for the region, as well as leading global benefits for the company.
In 2023, they joined dsm-firmenich as a Sr. Director, Global Benefits.
Lauren Gibbon completed their education with a MBA degree in Finance from Seton Hall University, which they obtained from 1988 to 1993. Prior to that, they earned a BA degree in Chemistry from Bucknell University, where they studied from 1982 to 1986. For their college preparatory education, Lauren attended Columbia High School from 1978 to 1982.
