Hui Han Chin has a diverse professional background starting as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University in 2009. Hui Han transitioned to DSO National Laboratories in 2012 as a Senior Member of Technical Staff focusing on intelligence exploitation. Over the years, they held various roles within DSO, including Senior System Engineer and Program Manager. Hui Han then worked with Google as a Software Engineering Intern in 2017. From 2018 to 2021, they were with the Smart Nation and Digital Government Office as Head of Government Data Security Unit. Currently, they are the Chief Digital Officer at DSO National Laboratories, leading the Digital Transformation and securing IT systems and data.
Hui Han Chin completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University from 2009 to 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science at the same university from 2016 to 2017. In 2018, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Management from Harvard Extension School. Furthermore, Hui Han Chin participated in the Singapore Armed Forces Advance School in 2017. Hui Han also acquired the Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification from (ISC)² in October 2022, the CompTIA A+ ce Certification from CompTIA in February 2022, and won the 3rd Prize at the Ministry of Defence Data Analytics Challenge in August 2015. Additionally, they hold the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification.
