Yi Jie Tan

Yi Jie Tan is a skilled aerospace engineer with extensive experience in the development of navigation systems and UAV technologies. Currently serving as UAV Deputy Systems Engineer at DSO National Laboratories since June 2018, Yi Jie Tan leads the planning and integration of interdisciplinary technical subsystems. Previous roles include Senior Member of Technical Staff, focusing on navigation systems and simulation environments, and Member of Technical Staff, where Yi Jie Tan also contributed as Team Lead for the Recreation Committee. Academic achievements include a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Early career experience includes internships at DSO National Laboratories and KNDS Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, as well as a position as a Course Assistant at the University of Illinois. Yi Jie Tan also served as a Corporal in the 48th Singapore Armoured Regiment, operating Leopard 2SG tanks.
