Felipe Zamarrón has a long history of work experience in the audio engineering industry. In 2021, they began their current role as Principal Audio DSP Engineer at DSP Concepts, where they are responsible for algorithm simulation and verification in Matlab, as well as system solutions and POC development on various DSP and SoC architectures. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Senior Software DSP Engineer at HARMAN International. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Technical Consultant at Independent Software and Hardware Development, where they were responsible for software and hardware development and integration. During this time, they designed the sound and software system for the Pringles Keyboard. From 2010 to 2021, they also worked as a Lecturer at ITESM, teaching courses in Signals and Systems, Fundamentals of Audio Engineering, and Numerical Methods for Engineering. From 2009 to 2005, they worked as a Hardware and Software Engineer at Margules Audio, where they were responsible for the Made for iPod certification process for the i-End. Additionally, they co-developed the i-End, designing the digital-electronics platform and programming the iPod-interfacing and user-interface.
Felipe Zamarrón obtained a BSc in Electronic Systems Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey between 2000 and 2005. Felipe then went on to pursue an MSc in Acoustics and Music Technology from The University of Edinburgh between 2007 and 2008, with a focus in Acoustics, Sound Analysis and Synthesis, and Physical Modelling. In 2016, they obtained a Machine Learning certificate from Coursera Course Certificates, as well as a Foundations of Programming: Design Patterns certificate from Lynda.com.
