Head of Advanced Development at DSP Concepts

Jeff Brockmole has extensive work experience in the field of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and software engineering. Jeff is currently working at DSP Concepts as the Head of Advanced Development since January 2022. Previously, at the same company, they held the position of Director of Sales Engineering from August 2020 to February 2022.

Before joining DSP Concepts, Jeff worked at HARMAN International for over a decade. Jeff started as a Senior Engineer, Software in December 2009 and implemented DSP solutions for Toyota JBL amplifiers. Jeff also developed software for pioneering GreenEdge products and optical MOST150 solution for Hyundai Lexicon amplifiers. Later on, in January 2013, they became a Principal Engineer, Software and led DSP and microcontroller development for Lincoln Revel amplifier projects. Jeff successfully ported the algorithm library to a new DSP in assembly and created a hi-resolution streaming automotive amplifier. From June 2015 to July 2016, they served as a Manager/Senior Manager, Software Engineering, managing amplifier software development for Ford/Lincoln and Hyundai/Kia customers.

At HARMAN International, Jeff further advanced in their career and took on the role of Senior Principal Engineer, Core Software from July 2016 to April 2017. Jeff handled a special assignment as the Product Owner for the new AudioworX DSP framework, leading requirements, architecture specification, and first implementations. During this time, they were also appointed as the Acting global DSP lead for all regions.

From April 2017 to August 2020, Jeff progressed to the position of Senior Manager, DSP Software at HARMAN International. Jeff managed the team responsible for DSP development for customer projects in the North America and Asia Pacific regions. Jeff acted as the global DSP lead for regions including Europe, China, and India.

Prior to HARMAN International, Jeff worked at Accusort Systems as a Software Engineer from May 2005 to November 2009. Jeff started their professional journey at Visteon Corporation as a DSP Design Engineer in 2004 and eventually moved on to Wadia Digital Corp. in 2001, where they served as an Engineer. At Wadia Digital Corp., they played an instrumental role in the conception and construction of the first prototypes of the company's flagship 921 dual mono DAC system. Jeff also designed and implemented the control software and HMI for the Wadia 302 CD player.

Jeff Brockmole completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Michigan from 1998 to 2002. Jeff then pursued further education and earned their MBA degree in Marketing from Lehigh University between 2006 and 2008. In addition to their formal education, Jeff obtained several certifications including the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in March 2015, and the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance in September 2016.
