Porus S.

Porus S. has worked in a variety of roles in the audio engineering and data analytics fields. In 2021, they began working as an Audio Test Engineer at DSP Concepts, where they performed testing on customer products and verified that they met expected performance criteria, along with designing test plans and developing test automation. Porus also supported product development and application engineering groups by running, analyzing and interpreting tests and identifying problems and issues. In 2020, they volunteered as a Visiting Research Associate at Arizona State University's Signal Processing and Adaptive Sensing Laboratory, working with graduate students to help them with algorithm development and programming. In 2019, they served as a Graduate Research Fellow at Arizona State University, where they developed a visualization program for speech prosody production training in CI users using MATLAB, improved the accuracy of audio and visual feedback for Cochlear Implant users using the PSOLA algorithm, and introduced tangibility feedback using motor sensors for determining the correct formant. In 2017, they completed an internship at TATA Power, where they were responsible for management of outage event analysis along with its prevention using Smart Meter Data, performed forecasting and built predictive models for demand program planning using data analytics, and correlated power outage events with the transformers to identify faulty or aging infrastructure.

Porus S. achieved a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Xavier Institute Of Engineering between 2014 and 2018. Porus then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing and Communications from Arizona State University, which they completed in 2020.
