Kalpen Parekh

Kalpen Parekh has extensive experience in the asset management industry. Kalpen is currently the Managing Director & CEO of DSP Mutual Fund, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to their current role, they served as the President of DSP Mutual Fund from June 2017 to July 2021. Before joining DSP Mutual Fund, Kalpen Parekh held various leadership roles at other asset management companies. Kalpen was the Managing Director Sales Marketing at Idfc Asset Management Co Ltd from April 2016 to January 2017. Kalpen also served as the Chief Executive Officer of IDFC ASSET MNGT CO. PVT. LTD. from June 2012 to March 2016 and Deputy CEO of IDFC AMC from November 2010 to May 2012. Earlier in their career, they held senior positions at Birla Sunlife AMC, ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company Ltd, and Prudential ICICI AMC, primarily focused on sales and distribution.

Kalpen Parekh attended Harvard Business School in 2019, where they completed an Investment Management Workshop focusing on Investments. Kalpen also holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), which they obtained between 1996 and 1998. Parekh's undergraduate education was completed at Bharati Vidyapeeth from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering.
