João Faria

João Faria is an experienced professional with a solid background in mechanical engineering and innovation management. Currently serving as the Innovation Manager at dstelecom since June 2021, João previously held the position of Consumer Gyroscope Designer at Bosch from May 2016 to May 2021, focusing on the design of angular rate sensors and development methodologies. As a PhD student affiliated with Bosch and the MIT Portugal Program from January 2015 to April 2019, João's research concentrated on engineering design and advanced manufacturing. Earlier roles include a Research Fellow at the University of Minho, where João was involved in the HMIExel project related to advanced car multimedia solutions, and a trainee in metal stamping at Fehst Componentes Lda. João holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy and Environment from Universidade do Minho and specialized in Automotive Engineering during an Erasmus program at Czech Technical University in Prague.
