Derek Johnson

Derek Johnson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operations management and military service. Currently serving as the Gas Operations Supervisor at DTE Energy since March 2018, Derek also fulfills the role of Materials Supervisor at Magna Seating from September 2012. A Staff Sergeant in the USMC Special Operations since July 2006, Derek has a strong military background, including experience as an Operations Supervisor at Quality Metal Craft Inc. from 2017 to January 2020, and a Production Superintendent at Johnson Controls from May 1995 to December 2012. Derek’s career in operations began with the role of Materials Coordinator at Johnson Controls, Inc. in the automotive sector, and prior military service includes a position at United States Marine Co as a SSGT focusing on CQB Marksmanship Instruction. Derek completed education at Tide Water Community College from 1992 to 1994.
