Jason Smith

Jason Smith is an experienced professional with a diverse background in finance, compliance, and auditing. As the Director of the NERC Compliance Office at DTE Energy since September 2012, Jason leads the organization's compliance efforts with NERC standards, ensuring adherence and collaboration with internal business partners. Additionally, Jason serves as an Adjunct Professor in Accounting and Finance at Macomb Community College. Previous roles include Audit Manager at General Motors, where oversight of financial and operational audits was key, and various finance management positions at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Kelly, and Deloitte. Jason holds an MBA from Wayne State University and a BS in Accounting from Oakland University.
