John Mentzer, PE, REC, is an independent consultant specializing in power quality and reliability, with extensive experience in energy storage and reliability engineering. They previously worked at General Motors in roles focused on new technologies and renewable energy resources, as well as power quality monitoring and battery applications for electric grid support. Mentzer also served as a senior engineer at the Lansing Board of Water & Light, where they were involved in reliability engineering and project management.
