Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper has over two decades of experience in human resources and recruitment, most recently serving as the Head of Total Rewards at DTE Energy from July 2012 to October 2024. Prior roles at DTE included Director of Compensation, Benefits and Wellness, and Compensation Manager. Prior to joining DTE, Michael worked at Visteon Corporation where responsibilities included leading a Recruitment Process Outsourcing program to hire both exempt and non-exempt staff. Additional experience includes positions as an Accounting/Financial Professional Recruiter at Robert William James & Associates and a Technical Recruiter at The Epitec Group. Michael holds a Master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Toledo.
