Ib Chorkendorff

Ib Chorkendorff is a Professor at the Technical University of Denmark, where they currently serve as the Director of The Villum Center for the Science of Sustainable Fuels and Chemicals and Head of Section SurfCat. They have extensive experience in the field of Physics, having previously held a post-doctoral position at the University of Pittsburgh and worked as a professor and director at the Interdisciplinary Center for Catalysis. Chorkendorff’s expertise includes Surface Science, Materials Science, Nanomaterials, Spectroscopy, and Nanotechnology, all aimed at enhancing catalysis for sustainable energy and environmental protection. They earned a PhD in Physics and a degree in Chemistry and Physics from Syddansk Universitet / University of Southern Denmark.
