Peter Andersen

Peter E. Andersen serves as the Group Leader of the Biophotonic Imaging Group and Head of the DTU Health Tech PhD School at DTU Health Tech, Technical University of Denmark, since January 2019. As a co-founder and co-inventor of Norlase ApS, Andersen focuses on compact laser-based systems for ophthalmic applications since January 2014. With a long-standing career at the Technical University of Denmark since 1996, Andersen's research encompasses optical coherence tomography, optical biosensors, and lasers for medical applications. Andersen has also been involved with DTU Fotonik, specializing in biomedical optics and biophotonics since 2008, and held the position of Guest Professor in Biophotonics at Lund University from January 2006 to December 2013. Education was obtained from the Technical University of Denmark between 1986 and 1994.
