Ernesto Barao has extensive experience in project management and transformation within the telecommunications sector, primarily with du and Neoris UAE. As Head of Greenfield PMO at du from September 2011 to August 2020, Ernesto led a multi-year transformation program aimed at enhancing organizational capabilities. Other key roles included overseeing a structural efficiency program, directing the nationwide launch of bitstream services, and managing a significant BSS/OSS transformation initiative. Prior to du, Ernesto served as Director at Neoris UAE, managing business development and client relationships. Additional experience includes interim CTO at Renaa Mobile and Project Director for Ooredoo Qatar’s business transformation. Ernesto holds a technical diploma in information systems from Technical Academy Computer Science - Tavira and a degree in Computer Science from the University of Algarve.
