Wael Elshanty

Wael ElShanty is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in internet infrastructure and wireless broadband management. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Internet Infrastructure Planning at du since August 2008, responsibilities include overseeing internet backbone infrastructure, peering, transit, content delivery networks, and cloud services. Prior roles include Senior Manager of Wireless Broadband, where leadership was provided for nationwide WiFi rollout projects, and a Senior NOC Engineer at Ericsson, focusing on WiFi operations. Wael began a career at Etisalat as a Network Supervisor, managing KPIs, troubleshooting advanced network issues, and coordinating across departments. Wael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from Damascus University, obtained between 1994 and 1999.
