Xi Li has an extensive work experience in the medical field. Xi began their career in 2003 as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Health Sciences (SIBS & SJTUSM). In 2005, they moved to the University of Rochester Medical Center, where they worked as a Graduate student and revealed and characterized T cell immune responses upon influenza vaccination in human, characterized cytokine and chemokine expression in T cell mediated immune responses, and created an assay for isolating chemokine-secreting cells. In 2012, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, where they explored regulation of T cell function in tumor environment, clarified cellular signaling mechanism that regulates PKC theta immune synapse recruitment in regulatory T cells, and identified co-receptors that mediate Neuropilin-1-Sema4a signaling in regulatory T cells in tumor microenvironment. In 2014, they moved to Weill Cornell Medical College, where they served as a Postdoctoral Associate. In 2015, they joined WuXi AppTec as an Assistant Director. In 2019, they moved to HARBOUR BIOMED as an Associate Director, and in 2021, they became the Senior Director at Duality Biologics.
