Kurt Rohloff

CTO And Co-founder at Duality Technologies

Prof. Rohloff is the founding architect of the PALISADE open-source homomorphic encryption software library and has led the defense industry consortium developing this leading open-source library. He is a co-founder and steering committee member of the HomomorphicEncryption.org industry standards consortium. He was a PI on the highly successful DARPA PROCEED program which implemented one of the first homomorphic encryption schemes. Kurt has been funded by DARPA, IARPA, DoD, the Sloan Foundation and others to develop PALISADE and apply encrypted computing techniques using PALISADE. Prior to co-founding Duality he was a senior scientist at Raytheon BBN Technologies, and he received tenure as an associate professor of computer science at NJIT. He holds a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B. of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. He is the recipient of a DARPA Young Faculty Award and a DARPA Director's Fellowship.
