Francesco Leacche

Francesco Leacche is a highly experienced professional in the software engineering and machine learning fields. Francesco has worked for several companies, starting in 2014. At 20tab srl, they worked as a Python/Django Developer, where they handled back-end development activities and demonstrated strong knowledge of current backend development standards and best practices. In 2015, they were the CTO and Co-Founder at Holey srl, where they provided dynamic and comprehensive leadership to a nine-person team tasked with developing high-quality hardware and software products, utilizing an Agile approach to drive innovation and success. In the same year, they were also a Graduate Student Researcher at the Department of Computer Science University of Rome "La Sapienza", where they spearheaded the design, development, and implementation of real-time video communication and streaming solutions for submarine sensor networks. In 2016, they worked as a Game Programming Teacher at AIV - Accademia Italiana Videogiochi, where they led dynamic and engaging courses on videogame programming principles, including C#, Python, C++, software engineering, Maya scripting, and Qt libraries. In 2018, they were a Lead Backend Developer at Stip, where they supervised, expanded, and reorganized a six-person development team and drove continuous improvement by implementing and overseeing Agile development processes. Currently, they are working at Duality Robotics as a Technical Program Manager, Tech Lead Solutions Engineer, and Software Engineer - Machine Learning.

Francesco Leacche began their educational journey in 2010 when they earned a Bachelor's degree in Informatica from Sapienza Università di Roma. In 2015, they attended InnovAction Lab but did not earn a degree. In 2019, they began their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Computing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, which they are still pursuing.
