João Paulo Paixão

Chief Representative - Brazil at Dubai Chambers

João Paulo Paixão has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. João Paulo started their career in 2005 as an Honorary Member at Prisma Jr. International Consulting. In 2007, they worked as an International Relations Assistant at Associação AlfaSol. From 2008 to 2011, they served as an International Relations Advisor at Prefeitura de São Paulo and also worked as the Coordinator of the São Paulo Pavilion at the World Expo 2010 Shanghai China during this time. In 2011, they joined the American Chamber of Commerce - Amcham Brazil, where they held positions as the Trade Intelligence Coordinator, managing a team and developing reports on international trade. João Paulo then became an International Trade Specialist, responsible for industry reports and consulting projects. In 2013, they moved to the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce as the International Business Executive - Arabian Gulf and later became the Market Intelligence Coordinator. Since 2017, they have been working at Dubai Chambers, initially serving as the Head of International Office - Brazil and later as the Chief Representative - Brazil. In 2021, they took on the role of VIP Business Advisor.

João Paulo Paixão completed their Bachelor's degree in International Relations at Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo from 2003 to 2007. In 2006, they participated in an exchange program at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, studying Political Science and Negotiations. In 2014, they earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Management and Leadership in Trade and International Relations from Faculdades Integradas Rio Branco. João Paulo furthered their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Government Relations at FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, João Paulo has obtained certifications in Body Language for Leaders from LinkedIn, Advanced International Negotiations, and Capacitation on International Negotiations from Caeni USP.
