Yajnavalkaa Banerrji is an experienced biochemist currently serving as an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Dubai Healthcare City since April 2016, focusing on teaching, curriculum development, and research. Prior to this role, Yajnavalkaa held a similar position at Sultan Qaboos University from August 2009 to April 2016, also engaged in teaching, curriculum development, and research, after beginning as an Assistant Professor. Yajnavalkaa’s research experience includes a position as an Alexander Von Humboldt Research Fellow at the Max-Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, where the focus was on membrane trafficking. Yajnavalkaa completed a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Biochemistry at Scripps Research from 2007 to 2008 and earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the National University of Singapore from 2002 to 2007.
