Ahtesham Sheikh is an experienced banking professional with a strong background in corporate banking and asset underwriting. Currently serving as the Head of Asset Underwriting and Planning at Dubai Islamic Bank since August 2008, Ahtesham Sheikh plays a vital role in supporting the Head of Corporate Banking in business governance, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance, among other responsibilities. Previously, Ahtesham Sheikh was the Assistant Vice President of Corporate Banking, where management of key Abu Dhabi relationships was a primary focus. Prior experience includes a role as Associate Director in Contracting Finance at Standard Chartered Bank and audit trainee positions at Price Waterhouse Coopers and KPMG. Ahtesham Sheikh holds an MBA in Banking and Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, and a BCOM in Commerce from the University of the Punjab.
