Huma Ishaq

Huma Ishaq is an experienced educator with a diverse background in English language instruction and leadership roles within various schools. Currently serving as a Secondary ELA Teacher at Dubai Modern Education School since September 2022, Huma previously held the position of English Head of Department at The Apple International School from November 2016 to June 2023, where responsibilities included curriculum planning, coaching, and implementing action plans based on inspection feedback. With a foundation in teaching English as a First and Second Language, Huma has also worked with students at different educational levels, fostering critical thinking and reflective learning. Earlier roles included Extra Curricular Activities Coordinator at LACAS and Class Teacher at House of Education. Huma holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and a B.Ed. in Education from the University of the Punjab, alongside other relevant qualifications.
