Mirna Fakih has extensive work experience in the field of education, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. Most recently, they served as the Diversity and Inclusion Champion and head of the wellbeing and social worker departments at Dubai Modern Education School. Prior to that, they were the Head of Inclusion at Maharat. Mirna also worked at Dubai International School, where they held various roles including Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Kindergarten Phase Principal, Kindergarten phase coordinator, and Kindergarten subject leader. Their work experience spans from 2014 to the present.
Mirna Fakih's education history begins in 2001 when they attended the Lebanese University - Faculty of law, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law in 2004. Following this, from 2017 to 2019, they pursued a Master's degree in special and inclusive education at The British University in Dubai, specializing in Special Education and Teaching with distinction. Moving forward, from 2020 to 2023, they are currently enrolled at The British University in Dubai, working towards a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in exceptional learning needs, with a focus on the field of Twice Exceptionality and Giftedness.
