Principal Irrigation Projects Engineer (projects Manager) at Dubai Municipality

Omar Al-Ani has a strong background in irrigation projects and engineering. Omar started their career at Family Farms, where they managed the family farms from June 2002 to December 2004. Omar then joined Parsons Corporation in 2005 as an Automatic Irrigation and Landscape Inspector. Omar was later promoted to the role of Automatic Irrigation and Landscape Engineer, where they worked on various projects for the Road and Transit Authority in Dubai. In 2010, Omar joined Parsons International Ltd. as a Utility Coordinator, and eventually became a Senior Inspector. During their time at Parsons, they worked on projects such as the construction of a link road at Abu Dhabi International Airport and the development of pocket parks in Abu Dhabi Island. Since 2014, Omar has been employed by Dubai Municipality, starting as a Senior Irrigation Projects Engineer and now serving as the Principal Irrigation Projects Engineer. In this role, they have been involved in major infrastructure projects related to roads, landscaping, and irrigation, including the design and execution of automatic irrigation and landscaping works.

Omar Al-Ani completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Engineering at the University of Mosul from 1996 to 2000.
