Deepa Raja Carbon

Deepa Raja Carbon is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in strategic management, business development, and corporate governance. Currently serving as Managing Director and Vice Chair at the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority since February 2022, Deepa has also been the Executive Vice President at the Dubai World Trade Centre since May 2006, focusing on corporate strategy and investment management. Previously, Deepa held the position of CEO - Strategy and Future Insights at Dubai Economy from April 2015 to January 2023, where responsibilities included policy formulation and data analytics. Earlier in the career at Booz & Company, expertise was developed in post-merger integration and organizational transformation. Deepa holds a Master of Law in International Business Law from the University of Paris II, an MBA in Economics, Finance, and Strategy from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai.
