Laura Mahoney

Laura Mahoney is an experienced professional in public service reform and academic research leadership. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Engagement at Dublin City University since November 2021, Laura previously held the position of Head of Public Service Reform at the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform from August 2018 to October 2021, where effective management of the PMO for the 'Our Public Service' reform agenda was key. Prior to that, Laura was the CEO of the Royal Irish Academy from April 2013 to August 2018, focusing on championing Irish academic research and recognizing world-class researchers in Ireland. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary History from the University of Sussex, a Master's Degree from University College Dublin, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The Open University.
