Alison Dougall is a highly experienced dental professional currently serving as the Head of Department for Child and Dental Public Health and as a Professor/Consultant in Special Care Dentistry at Dublin Dental University Hospital since 2007. Alison has held significant leadership roles, including Immediate Past President of the International Association for Disability and Oral Health and Past Chair of the Dental Committee for the World Federation of Hemophilia from October 2014 to October 2020. Prior to these positions, Alison was the Clinical Director at South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust from January 2003 to January 2006. Alison holds a Master’s Degree in Special Needs Dentistry from Eastman Dental Institute, alongside an earlier education at Trinity College Dublin and Coventry, where Alison attended King Henry VIII from 1976 to 1982.
