Grainne Humphreys is an accomplished film festival professional with extensive experience in the industry. Since December 2007, Grainne has served as the Festival Director of the Dublin International Film Festival, overseeing the artistic programme and fostering relationships with filmmakers, distributors, and sales agents. Prior to this role, Grainne worked at the Irish Film Institute from January 2001 to December 2007 as both Assistant Director and Education Officer. Grainne's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and a combined Bachelor's/Master's degree in English, Classical Civilisation, and Film Studies from University College Dublin, along with foundational education at Holy Child Killiney and leadership training from Common Purpose Ireland.
