Chris Funk is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Superintendent of Dublin Unified School District since June 2021. Prior to this role, Chris held the position of Superintendent at East Side Union High School District from July 2012 to June 2021 and served as Assistant Superintendent at San Jose Unified School District from August 2008 to June 2012. Chris's extensive experience includes leadership roles such as Director of Human Resources at San Jose Unified School District, where responsibilities encompassed HR functions and district negotiations. A former principal of Lincoln High School, Chris has a master's degree in Social Science Teacher Education from San Jose State University and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Carroll College.

The Dublin Unified School District (DUSD) serves over 12,300 students, from preschool through adult education, in a diverse suburban environment. Dublin High School is renowned for its signature programs, including the Engineering Academy, which prepares students to succeed in a postsecondary engineering program; the Biomedical Academy, which prepares students for a post-secondary education in biomedical sciences; and the Culinary Academy which prepares students for a post-secondary education in the culinary arts.
