Chief Legal Officer at Duck Creek Technologies

Chris is the chief legal officer for Duck Creek Technologies and responsible for the company’s worldwide legal affairs, including licensing, intellectual property protection, compliance, and corporate governance. He brings more than 22 years of legal and business operational experience at both publicly- and privately-held technology companies and in private practice.

Prior to joining Duck Creek, Chris served for more than four years as senior vice president and general counsel to Agencyport Software Corp., which was acquired by Duck Creek in August 2016. Before that, he was counsel to the business analytics division of IBM Software Group, where he was responsible for worldwide legal affairs. He also was deputy general counsel to Cognos Inc., a publicly-held business intelligence and performance management software company. Before going in-house, Chris was in private practice at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault LLP in Boston, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation and compliance, corporate governance, private equity fund formation, and commercial licensing transactions.
