Mário Frade has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Mário started their career at Philips as a Researcher in Nanotechnologies & Biosensors, where they developed micro-fluidic devices for biological detection. Mário later joined PETsys Electronics as a Product Developer and Researcher in Electronic Instrumentation and Healthcare, focusing on breast cancer detection.
Mário then transitioned to Procter & Gamble, where they worked as a Product Manager and Brand Manager in the Beauty & Luxury and Fabric & Homecare divisions. Mário managed multiple brands and led successful relaunches and marketing campaigns.
Mário also worked at Noi Sirius as a Business, Marketing & Innovation Lead, responsible for brand creation, marketing strategies, and increasing export opportunities. Mário further contributed as a Business Analyst, analyzing the Kellogg's business and identifying improvement areas.
Mário's experience extends to Coca-Cola European Partners, where they served as a Marketing Team Lead, and as an Advisor & Guest Lecturer during their self-employed period.
Most recently, Mário held key roles at Super Bock Group, including Head of Marketing and Head of Global Innovation & Portfolio Management. Mário led various teams and implemented agile and scientific marketing practices, resulting in improved brand preference, business results, and multiple awards.
Currently, Mário works as a Senior Marketing Manager at DuckDuckGo.
Mário Frade completed the High Impact Leadership Programme at INSEAD in 2019, focusing on Organizational Leadership. Before that, they obtained a MsC degree in Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology and a BSc+MSc in Engineering Physics from Instituto Superior Técnico. In 2010, they also attended the Marketing College at Procter & Gamble.
