Shaun O'Beirne

Shaun O'Beirne has extensive work experience in the field of product design and digital design. Shaun is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at DuckDuckGo since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Invoice2go from 2019 to 2022, starting as a Senior Product Designer for Documents and later becoming the Lead Product Designer for Cashflow and Payments.

In 2019, Shaun worked as a Digital Product Designer on a freelance basis for Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, where they focused on UX and visual design for the Fender Songs mobile application. Before that, they held the role of Digital & Creative Lead at Maxwell Forest from 2018 to 2019, where they were responsible for visual and interaction design on various platforms and the creation of an internal design system.

Shaun's earlier experience includes working as a UI/UX Designer for Fender Riffstation at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation from 2016 to 2017, where they designed audio/visual tools for musicians. Shaun also worked as a UI/UX & Motion Designer at WholeWorldBand from 2015 to 2016, where they focused on designing digital products for musicians to collaborate and create music together.

Shaun started their career as a Freelance Designer and Event Photographer at their own company, Shaun O'Beirne, from 2009 to 2015. In 2012, they also worked as an Event Photographer at The Small Print. Throughout their career, Shaun has gained experience in various aspects of design, including UX, interaction design, motion graphics, and visual communication.

Shaun O'Beirne obtained a Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications with a focus on Graphic Design from D.I.T, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. In July 2021, they also obtained a certification in "Becoming a UX Strategist" from the Nielsen Norman Group.
