DUCLOT
DUCLOT has been a wine merchant in Bordeaux for nearly 130 years, with a huge stock of a million bottles stored in its cellars. Though it was purchased by Jean-Pierre Moueix in 1956, the company, founded by Sixte Duclot in 1886, kept its original name. DUCLOT offers a large range of services: to professionals and the export trade across 80 countries with DUCLOT EXPORT, and to French restaurants via the Paris based LA VINICOLE. When Jean-François Moueix replaced his father at the head of the company in 1970, he also introduced direct sales to private customers, via Etablissements DUCLOT, and then l'INTENDANT, its first wine store in Bordeaux opened in 1989. Shortly afterwards, other stores were launched: BADIE (Bordeaux), CHATEAUNET (2 stores in Paris and www.chateaunet.com), DUCLOT la CAVE aux GALERIES LAFAYETTE (Paris) and CHAI & BAR (Brussels). And finally CHATEAUPRIMEUR, online wine store dedicated to Bordeaux Primeurs for private customers. Jean Moueix manage DUCLOT, he ensures that the family's historical values are respected, while creating new opportunities for the future.
