Bob Roper Jr.

Bob Roper, Jr. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. Bob is currently working at Brightly as the VP of Software Engineering since January 2020. Prior to Brightly, Bob held various roles at LexisNexis, including Director Software Engineering from August 2016 to January 2020, and Manager Software Engineering from February 2015 to August 2016. Bob was responsible for managing a large organization, recruiting software engineering talent, and leading agile testing initiatives. Before LexisNexis, Bob worked at Elsevier as the Manager Integration and Release Services from February 2004 to November 2014, where they managed a team and served as a Scrum Master for various projects. Bob also has previous experience at LexisNexis, starting in 1994, where they held different roles such as Manager Software Engineering, XML Gateway Program Manager, Project Management Team Lead, and Senior/Consulting Software Engineer. Prior to LexisNexis, Bob worked at Digital Equipment Corporation (USA) as a Software Specialist from September 1990 to April 1994 and at TRW Defense Systems Group as a Software Engineer from September 1985 to August 1990. Bob's earliest work experience was at American Computer Technology as a Software Developer from August 1984 to September 1985.
