Elizabeth Meisman, AWB, is a dedicated wildlife biologist currently serving as an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at Cal Poly Humboldt, where research focuses on the long-term study of Swainson's hawks in Butte Valley, California. With a rich background in avian studies, Elizabeth has held multiple positions, including wildlife biologist roles at Dudek and GHD, and operational positions at Humboldt Redwood Company, Intermountain Bird Observatory, and Green Diamond Resource Company, where expertise includes conducting surveys and monitoring various owl species. Earlier experience includes tutoring at Humboldt State University and conducting an independent research project on Ospreys and Bald Eagles funded by the National Science Foundation. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation Biology/Applied Vertebrate Ecology from Humboldt State University.
