Laura Welch

Laura Welch has extensive experience in the mortgage underwriting and administration sector, currently serving as a Mortgage Underwriter at Dudley Building Society since August 2019, specializing in manual underwriting for various lending types, including Expat and self-build mortgages. Prior to this role, Laura held a leadership position as Mortgage Admin Team Leader, managing a team responsible for mortgage administration and completions. Previous positions include Mortgage Underwriter at Precise Mortgages, where Laura focused on complex income and credit impaired lending, as well as positions at The West Brom, where responsibilities included junior underwriting and processing mortgage applications. Laura also has experience in the veterinary field as a Veterinary Care Assistant. Education includes a BSc in Psychology from Cardiff Metropolitan University and credentials from the Chartered Management Institute.
