Alaina Bearden

Alaina Bearden currently serves as the Senior Director of Degree Attainment at Duet since March 2024 and has been the Founder and CEO of The Greater Learning since July 2016. Previously, Alaina held positions at Boston Public Schools, including Interim Co-Principal and Teacher, focusing on students with limited and interrupted formal education. Additional experience includes teaching roles at Match Education and Manara Academy, where Alaina was also Assistant Principal, and faculty instruction at Revolution Prep. With a strong background in leadership and education, Alaina has previously worked in operational and cultural development roles, supervising staff and managing educational programs. Alaina earned a Doctor of Education in K-12 Leadership from the University of Southern California and holds both a Master of Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English and Political Science from Abilene Christian University.
