Igor de Paula

Igor de Paula has a diverse work experience in software engineering and entrepreneurship. Igor currently works as a Software Engineer at Duffel since February 2019. Previously, they founded Purple Facts, a SaaS startup aimed at delivering software solutions to real estate investors, where they served as the CEO from June 2018 to January 2019. Igor also co-founded Wise Tokyo, an e-commerce company specializing in selling Japanese kitchen goods and educating customers, from May to September 2018. Before that, they worked as a Junior Software Engineer at eHana, where they focused on front-end development and modernizing legacy code from June 2016 to August 2017. Additionally, Igor gained experience as a Teaching Assistant at Boston University, teaching core software development skills to engineering students from January 2013 to May 2016. Igor also worked as a Research Assistant at Andersson Lab for a brief period in 2014, where they improved data analysis by scaling core algorithms using CUDA's GPU technology. Throughout their career, Igor has showcased skills in various areas such as React, JavaScript, NodeJS, MongoDB, AWS, SaaS, web security, lean methodology, marketing, networking, communication, MATLAB, pair programming, and teaching.

Igor de Paula attended Boston University from 2012 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering.
