Melvin Ramcharitar

Melvin Ramcharitar has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the construction industry. Melvin started their career at Dufferin Construction Company in 2004, initially working as a Quality Control Administrator. Over the years, they took on various roles within the company, including Construction Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent, Health and Safety Advisor, and Project Superintendent. In 2009, they transitioned to the role of Project Estimator.

In 2015, Ramcharitar joined Dufferin Construction Company/Blackbird Constructors 407 as the Deputy Design Build Director. Melvin held this position until 2021. From 2020 to 2023, they worked as the Commercial Director at Dufferin Construction Company/Mosaic Transit Group.

Currently, Ramcharitar is serving as the Major Projects Director - Partnership Ventures at Dufferin Construction Company, a role they assumed in January 2023.

Melvin Ramcharitar pursued their education at Ryerson University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from 1998 to 2002. Following this, they continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from 2002 to 2004.
