Design Engineering at Dufour Aerospace

Mathieu Janier is an experienced Design Engineer with a focus on aerospace and composite manufacturing. Currently employed at Dufour Aerospace since November 2020, Mathieu is working as a Manufacturing Engineer on the Aero2 Spright project, responsible for setting up a composite laboratory and planning a year of production leading to the first flight. Previously, Mathieu contributed as a Manufacturing Product Engineer at SP80 and as an Aerostructure Design Engineer at Aurora Flight Sciences, where responsibilities included preliminary calculations, design of composite structural parts, and manufacturing follow-up for eVTOL projects. Earlier roles included mechanical engineering work at École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, where Mathieu designed a dynamic composite prosthetic foot, and composite manufacturing at Décision / Multiplast SAS for the AC50 Catamaran. Mathieu holds two Master’s degrees in Mechanics from École de technologie supérieure and HEI - Hautes Etudes d'Ingénieur.
