Youssef Elyaalaoui

Youssef Elyaalaoui is an experienced Aerodynamics/CFD Engineer currently working at Dufour Aerospace since September 2021. Prior to this role, Youssef completed a Master Thesis at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, focusing on Gaussian Process Regression for aerodynamic modeling of space vehicle stage separation. Previous positions at Dufour Aerospace involved low and high fidelity calculations for tilt-wing electric VTOLs, while Youssef also developed a structured grid generation tool for CFD evaluations at EPFL, where engagement as a Teaching Assistant covered multiple engineering courses occurred. Earlier experiences include internships with Pangea Aerospace and the EPFL Rocket Team, along with contributing to interactive GPU-based flow simulation development. Youssef holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering from EPFL.
