Mckenzie Halling has had a diverse and varied work experience. Mckenzie began their career in 2017 as a Social Media Coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Letters and Science. Mckenzie then worked as an Account Executive Intern for The Daily Cardinal in the same year. In 2018, they became the Communications and Internal Marketing Coordinator for Wilde East Towne Honda, as well as the Managing Editor for Curb Magazine. In 2019, they worked as an Account Executive for Planet Propaganda and an Editorial Assistant for Wisconsin People & Ideas Magazine. In 2021, they became a Senior Account Manager for Duft Watterson, and in 2022 they became an Aerie - Alumni Brand Ambassador for Youth Marketing Connection.

Mckenzie Halling obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Journalism, Advertising, Public Relations, and Digital Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2019. From 2017 to 2018, they also attended Thammasat University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Journalism. Additionally, they obtained a Certification for Mirren Account Management Effectiveness from Mirren Business Development in November 2022, and a Hootsuite Platform Certified from Hootsuite in November 2017.
