The TEAK Fellowship
Scarlett Ferman is an experienced education professional, currently serving as the Associate Director of Student Growth and College Guidance at The TEAK Fellowship, after previously holding the position of Assistant Director. Ferman has a strong background in college advising, evidenced by work at NYU College Advising Corps, where support was provided to students at William H. Maxwell CTE High School in their post-secondary education endeavors. Ferman is also self-employed as a private tutor, specializing in preparing students for college entrance exams and guiding families through the college application process. Additional roles include program management in mentorship initiatives and environmental education, complemented by a degree from Sarah Lawrence College and an international exchange program at the University of Amsterdam.

TEAK is a free program that helps talented students from low-income families achieve their potential. Through intensive after school and summer classes, TEAK prepares middle school students to get into the nation’s most selective high schools and colleges. TEAK’s strong support system ensures that students thrive in their independent (day and boarding) high schools and graduate from college, ready to pursue their professional goals and positively impact the world.
