George Everett is currently the Director of Environmental and Legislative Affairs at Duke Energy. They previously served as the President/Executive Director of the Manufacturers and Chemical Industry Council from 1992 to 1999, and as the Director of various divisions within the Department of Environment and Natural Resources from 1981 to 1992. George holds a Ph.D. in Zoology and has a strong educational background that includes a BA in History from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BA in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
