Shivani Vyas is currently a Robertson Scholar at Duke University since April 2022, pursuing a BS in Economics with a Finance concentration. Vyas has gained experience as an Economic Analytics Intern at marketumbrella.org during the summer of 2023 and as a Development Intern at Junum. Previous roles include a Research Intern at Yale University under Dr. Lek Lab, a Development Intern at Cure Rare Disease, and serving as Youth State Officer and Chair at the American Red Cross of Georgia from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, Vyas contributed as a Young Adult Advocate for the Young Adult Rare Representatives and founded The Rare Disorder Podcast, where Vyas served as the host from 2019 to 2022.

Duke Student Government (DSG) is the official governing body of undergraduate students at Duke. DSG acts as the principal liaison between students and the Duke administration and oversees the funding and approval of student organizations on campus. DSG represents the student voice at Duke, lobbying for policies and programs that better the undergraduate experience. DSG has a long history of success in both on campus student ventures, as well as beyond.
